My 2025 books. It’s what I can realistically do given the 5-6 days of descending, chemo induced brain fog each month - when I wonder if there will ever be another train of thought again.
But it turns out there is!
The last two weeks are prime for getting all the reading done because you enter a better state of “normalcy” - maybe - perhaps - for now. Never absolute predictions about what chemo will bring in its wake each time! Bu I have high hopes
I have no real surprises. The Van Zeller is a reread from a long time ago - he is a such a wonderful straight shooter. Caryll makes the list, of course. And some Cistercians. And a Gregory the Great treasure I was delighted to find while rearranging my bookshelves one day. Being immuno compromised and homebound does have its advantages! 😊
The Tom Wolfe is there because if I couldn’t laugh out loud at the insane, pretentious madness of the world, life would be so much harder. He is my new literary crush. Hilarious.
So, if you like book lists, this one is mine. Happy voraciously reading down your own stacks.
Thanks for your booklist. Will try the ones I’m not familiar with…Continuing prayers for you, Denise.
Hope you feel better!
Also, sooooo glad you’ve discovered the joys of reading Tom Wolfe. :)
