I'm on my third copy of that book in 10 years because it's loved by all ages. I was just going to comment that Denise gets points not only for the beautiful message, but including the illustration. 🤣
Every. Word. A delight! As an older woman I, too, marvel at how DO they do it, as I attend Mass. What most impresses me is how the dads and moms perform the ballet in unison or solo, one taking the fidgety child out one time, and at another time holding a toddler’s hand for a restroom run…and how mom and dad and toddler and child and teenager ALWAYS genuflect before their temporary exit and upon their return to the pew. Jesus and His Blessed Mother love this offering, yes, so precious. I can hear the tappity tap of your daughter’s clicky shoes - what fun to read your beautiful story!
…AND the moms and dads NEVER correct each other nor cast a disparaging or exasperated look at each other. They are ‘on the same page’, which is a lovely sight to behold, too!
I needed to hear this today. My forest does in fact feel like it’s on fire 😆 Thank you for praying for us and for your beautiful writing! I’ll be coming back to this one again and again.
“And sometimes you feel like that forest might be on fire. You might begin to wonder if your life only serves as a cautionary tale for others.” Thank you for giving voice to this feeling and for encouraging us from the other side!
Love the illustration and every word you said. I can literally see everything you described in front of me. Thanking the Lord for moms like you who really keep the world sane and hope for the future! Thank you for praying for the moms and the dads. God bless you all. I will start praying for all of you too. Thank you again, Denise.
Once again, Denise. How do you do it? This writing is a Mother's Day gift for all ages. I find myself in the older mothers group now, yet with one still in homeschool. God spanned our five so they range from 29 to 15. I didn't understand why then, but am thankful now for the delays between. Although not close together, our home, and Masses, and life, was so much like this. Thank you for those memories, and for encouraging us to be supportive and loving to each other. I never want to be that woman who makes a young mother feel bad for bringing her children to Jesus. I want to be that woman who says, it's all worth it, because it is.
Thank you. (And, we bought that book Seven Silly Eaters a few months ago and our boys LOVE those illustrations.)
My all time favorite if only for the illustrations! 😂

Sharing with all my young mum friends! Thank you for being an encouraging voice.
Beautiful reflection which will lift the spirits and encourage all who read your words!

And, "the wild-haired, wide-eyed sprite. Every family has one." Yes, us, too! What a charmer he is now, and funny! Every Mom/family needs one.
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying.
Okay, yeah. Yeah, I am crying. 🩵😭🩵
