"But I will leave a remnant in your midst, a people humble and lowly, who shall take refuge in the name of the Lord...." (Zephaniah 2:3)Thanks for reading The Inscapist!
Just what I needed to hear. I've been struggling with getting families to be committed to an American Heritage Girls troop I Iead. I am reminded that even if just a handful of girls shows up, my focus needs to be on touching those few hearts and not being upset about the ones who aren't there.
Denise, this is so true! Always feeling like the odd ones out, but you have inspired me to pray for these traditions to come back in out Novus Ordo parish (Latin mass is over an hour away). We have a new assistant priest that came for dinner last night, he blessed the house and he has expressed desire to do more in the parish. We now have Adoration weekly which is very encouraging.
Ah! Now I know what to call myself…a remnant! But I’m one who grew up with Latin mass but not good with languages. On the other hand, my hubby’s really good with it and bears my mispronunciations patiently. Gid bless you for all your wonderful articles. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I needed this this morning! Thank you, Denise.
Beautiful writing!
Thank you, Nancy. And thank you for reading!
Sent to a dear priest friend as encouragement!
❤️❤️❤️

That is so wonderful, Tania! That he wanted to do more. You probably gave him strength just by having him over and supporting him!
As a fellow remnant, this is all so familiar, Denise. Besutifully expressed and with the perfect conclusion.
Beautifully written as always!
