I bought this book a few years ago and every once in a while I’ll tell myself I will start reading it. At times I feel like her as all my siblings and their families have drifted away from the Church and I can’t talk to any about the Lord and I tell the Lord, You’ve chosen the wrong one, the quiet one to bring them back?? Lord, have mercy but the Lord has His own ways… and His own sense of humor. But when they are in trouble they come for prayers so at least that I can do…

This book has been a constant companion of mine over the past 10+ years of chronic pain and illness. Such a consolation and encouragement and a what a good friend and companion she has been to me. Thank you for highlighting her beautiful example of “offering it up”!
